Mr. Ruddock began his career in infrared thermopgraphy in 1978. He is a seasoned veteran of hands on infrared inspections giving him the ability to teach real life thermography rather than just expounding theoretical principles. He has been conducting Level 1 and Level 2 certification training courses throughout the world since 1980. He was the Level 3 thermographer and North American Director of training for an established infrared company from 1990 – 1999, at which time he became the director of Advanced Infrared Resources.
Mr. Ruddock has been a consultant/training resource, to a number of infrared camera manufacturers over the years and has written training curriculums for various manufacturers. This experience has aided Mr. Ruddock in gaining a comprehensive working knowledge of most infrared instruments currently in use in the world today.
He now presents unbiased, camera independent, Level 1 and Level 2 certification training courses throughout the world as well as specifically tailored in-house training programs.The material in these courses adheres to the guidelines set out in SNT-TC-1A and ISO 18436-7, as well as various other ISO standards. Mr. Ruddock also presents a Level 3 program implementation and management course following Advanced Infrared Resources written procedures and guidelines. He combines audio, visual, and kinetic presentations to make learning easy for individuals from all backgrounds.
He has done plant audits for companies large and small leading to the establishment of infrared Pdm programs including suppling written procedures etc.
Although Wayne specializes in Pdm and Building thermography, he has also been involved in both medical and equine/bovine thermography projects and research.
Wayne has also written and presented many thermographic papers at international conferences and symposiums over the last 40 years. He is the author of the book “Basic Infrared Thermography Principles” published by Reliability web.com ISBN 978-0-9832258-1-2.
Wayne is also the author of the infrared section of Reliability Centered Maintenance – Reengineered, published by CRC Press, ISBN 9781498785174.
